Nevada City and Grass Valley are both historic mining towns that have been inhabited since the early 1850's. In the 1850’s, Nevada City grew to become the wealthiest gold mining town in the west and was the third largest city in California. Visitors can enjoy high quality restaurants, live theater and music, antique and specialty shops, art galleries and museums.

Nevada County is one of the most picturesque locations in America and has long been a place where people have aspired to live.
